Usually I expect projects around here to take twice as long and cost twice as much as originally intended. Really I think that is a pretty standard rule of thumb for projects anywhere.
However this project is taking wayyyyyy to long!
What was supposed to be done by mid-August is now traveling into early September!
Granted it is very trying to scrape ceilings when your 5'2" and 6 months pregnant.
At least we are FINALLY making progress!
BEFORE
We had a leak in the roof that was bleeding thru to the ceiling in this room, once we replaced the roof (really the only solution, our roof was 25 yrs old) we started to scrape the ceiling.
This is the most annoying thing in the world!
It makes such a difference though, the ceiling just seems higher and cleaner.
Totally worth the effort!
AFTER
Freshly scraped and popcorn free with a clean coat of white ceiling paint.
Walls are painted "Bonjour Beige" from Benjamin Moore.
Can't wait to start moving in furniture to create a cozy Guest Room.
Warm wood tones w/ black accents and a little color.
Hopefully done soon!
